Production

This year for production I was a possum it was a bit boring because I found it hard staying quit. It was a little bit funny to  because the parents got a shock when Nathan shot me with the slingshot and the year 3-4 were pocking me. I found the my custom a bit itchy but it looked cool in the end. When we got on the stage for the first time I go a shock because everyone was looking at me strangely. The teachers put a lot of effort into the costumes. In the beginning I thought our dances was a bit funny. In the beginning it was hard working together but in the end it wasn't so hard.

This year year 5-6 have bean practicing our production for Monday night. I am a possum in the production and I get shot by a slingshot. For all this week year 5-6 have bean rehearsing for Monday. It was a little boring because we had to watch it over and over. But it was cool see everyone costumes. I think the production is looking really cool and our customs are great thanks to the parents and teachers.

1. Moving 6 months in reading.

3. Trialing for winter seven even though I didn't get in.
4. Getting confidante in maths.
5. Learning how to play the base with Mr Gemmell.

My speech reflection

This week I did my speech I was so nervous. I looked down most of the time that is not good. As well I was quiet when I read it. But one of the good things were that my time was great. I am so happy because I got it dun in the end and I didn't get to nerves. Do you know that one child dies every 5 week in new Zealand because of child abuse. I chose child abuse and new Zealand is the worst in the world for child abuse.

My book is could Zac power night raid. Its about zac going on a mission to find out how stool millions of dollars from the bank and stop the gold from leaving the city. Zac had to go throw under ground tunnels fool with crocodiles. Zac found out that the bad guys hid the gold under big mouth factory.

The leaves were  landing on the ground in front of me.

The big tree toured above me like giants.

The stones  heart my feet as I step  on them.

 I walked into the class room at the zoo. Wow a stuffed possum came out of no were. I was a bit navies because I have not been to the Hamilton zoo before.  We got to get a snack. "Whats your favorite animal olly." Next we got to pat a torturer. It was cold and it gave me butterfly's.    

 Next we put our bags in the lockers. After that we got to look at the animals. Georges mum showed room 10 some of the animals and  tort as about the animals. I lorn't a lot . My favorite was the simian because we got to feed it. At first I was nerves. 

 After lunch we played on the play ground. I portended that I was a chimp. Then we got into groups and went to see some more animals. At the tigers one of them got a electric shock. It gave me a fright. In the end we had to go back to school.

To day for Maths we made three d shapes. First we copied two three d shapes off the bored the shapes were a bit tricky. Next we made a three bi three shape out of blocks it was hard because at first I did not no what three bi three meant but I got ti in the end. Finally I       drew my shape on to a peas of paper. I enjoyed it because its fun learning new things .

Habitat change

 Do you know that the extinction of animals has increased 100 percent. Guess why? The fumes and gases in the air  affect the animals but not just that. The bags we put in the water the turtles think the bags are jelly fish and the turtles might eat the bag. Something as harmless as a plastic bag can kill a turtle. So what can you do to stop this? You could use paper bags and don't litter.

Tapa Turtles

Tapa Turtles

This term with Mrs White we  have been learning about how to make tapa turtles.I learnt how to rotate and reflect  shapes. We also did maths rotations. We learnt  how to make block prints out of cardboard and I also learnt how to find the lines of symmetry.  I  learnt how to make different shapes out of a circle as well.   

First we needed to research a bit about tapa turtles. Next we had to draw our symbol onto a piece of  paper then we drew it on the wood print. After that we  scrunched up the paper. Then we traced the turtles on the window. Next we draw our designs in pencil on to our turtles. After that we went over the pencil with Indian ink. Then we carved out our wood block prints. Finally we rolled the ink on the block print and stuck it onto bits of paper. To finish off our artwork we stuck the two strips of paper and the turtle on to the wrinkled piece of paper.

The biking trip

 On Thursday  morning  room 10, 9 and 8 went on a biking trip. I was so excited because my dad was coming. First we got our bright yellow vests. Next we helped pack the trailer. Finally we hopped in the car and we were off. When we got there we jumped out of the car and helped get our bikes out of the trailer. I couldn't wait to get on the track. It was awesome.

Caitlin is responsible and kind.when other people talk around her she stays focused.She listens to the teacher and gets the gob done. when you fell down she cheers you up with her crazy personality. 

Even  when people are mean to her she is steel kind to them. she is easy to make conversation with. she helps you out when you need it.

Smack the book hit the ground. I wondered if any one heard it. One by one we shared our books. Finally  it was my tarn. I was nervous but exited. I slowly said my book is called Dirty Bertie by Alan MacDonald. I slowly read out the moral. Everyone was staring at me.I finally did it.

My name is Reuben Turnbull, I am nine years old. I am very sporty. I used to play Soccer, Touch and mini ball .  This year I am planning to play touch and tackle rugby. I used to live in Orewa, but I moved to Pirongia  six months ago. I have to older sisters there names are Olivia and Emma. In my free time I enjoy riding my bike round Pirongia. I also enjoy  drawing.

The Bad Guys

 

The book I am reading is called The Bad Guys by Aaron Blabey.

My main characters name is Mr wolf . He is known for blowing down houses , breaking into the homes of old women and  attempting to eating old women. Mr wolf often dressed up as old women. Mr wolf pretends to be good . So he gives little girls cup cakes.
